"The Aggy"
Modified By Fi on 19/06/2008 07:02:30)

"The Aggy" is the "defining hairstyle of the decade," according to British Vogue. The stylist who gave it to her, Sam McKnight, says, "It's a classic rebel haircut and if you've got the nerve to actually do it, you can probably pull it off." [British Vogue]

Has someone put Boris Johnson onto this?

Our current love affair with "The Aggy" may have a more deep seated explanation according to an article in 'The Daily Mail' this week.  Economists are suggesting women are chopping off their long locks in line with their curtailed spending. Cosmetics firm Kao Corp, which carried out the survey, even went so far as to suggest that hair length could be regarded as a barometer for the nation's economy. (See http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1030395/How-economic-outlook-forecast-length-womens-hair.html)

From my own experience though, having a crop hairstyle like Agyness Deyn's may be a false economy. Short styles are usually high maintenance and require regular trimming to keep in shape.

Re: "The Aggy"

I've just seen Aggy's new bowl haircut in today's Mail newspaper.  What was she thinking off?  I can't see this style being as popular!
