The Daily Mirror has reported that Leona Lewis is fronting a new campaign to promote safety in the sun this summer.
The Teenage Cancer Trust campaign, Shunburn, launches as new research shows that 81% of teens admit to not wearing sun cream and that a quarter of 1,000 teens asked believe using tanning oil or playing in the swimming pool protects their skin from burning.
The images of Leona (taken by Mary McCartney) will be used to spread the sun safety message during the summer on leaflets, online and in Superdrug stores across the country. Leona has also designed a head scarf to be sold for £2.99 exclusively on superdrug.com from 23 June (and on sale from 2 July while stocks last) to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
The Shunburn campaign includes a free 'burn text service which reminds subscribers to take precautions on the hottest summer days. You can subscribe on www.shunburn.co.uk
