Cheaper alternative to Bio Oil
Modified By Fi on 27/01/2009 21:32:01)
I have been an on-off user of Bio Oil for quite a few years. As with many products, I have never used it frequently enough to confirm its effectiveness. However, during the past few months, I have used it daily on my face, in the bath, and (despite having greasy skin) have noticed an improvement in the appearance of my skin tone. Nevertheless, Bio Oil is relatively expensive when used on such a regular basis. A 60ml bottle costs over £8.00

By chance, I was in Pound World this week when I noticed a product called Rescue Oil. It makes similar claims to Bio Oil and says it “helps improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks.” The only differences I can comment on are that it does not claim to contain the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil (which Bio Oil lists in its ingredients) and that its colour appears to be a slightly darker orange. However, a 40ml (plastic bottle) costs unsurprisingly £1.00 and to be honest in the few days I have tried it, I prefer it!

Thanks for this - I saw this and wished it worked as well as Bio-Oil as it is so much cheaper. Glad to know you gave it the thumbs-up - I will try it! :D

Re: Cheaper alternative to Bio Oil

Just wondering if you know of any other shops that sell this product?  Not sure where a £ shop would be local to where I stay?

You can buy Rescue Oil from the mbstore website - see link below.  However, they are charging £1.79 + p&p.  Obviously, it won't be such a bargain if you do purchase it from there. Fi x
