Hey belizzimo,

great idea! I'd love to know what's the best way to set eyeshadow, my makeup always
looks amazing at the start of the night but never stays the distance.

thanks!

sarah

Re: Ask the Celeb Make-Up Artist!

Hi there,

Well first of all the big question is, how do you prep your eyelids?
I always add a primer onto the bare eyelid prior to applying any powder or cream product.
One great product is prep and prime from MAC. You dot the smallest amount on the lid and then apply your colour as normal. Another way to set it is once you've applied your full make-up then close your eyes and spritz with a setting sollution all over the face and neck. MAC do one and also a little trick I use on set is hairspray. Use a natural hold one and close your eyes and spray lightly! Crazy but it works!!

If you're using glitters or sparkle products on your eyes then POP Beauty do a great product called sparkle babe that sets glitters. That's one to try too!

Hope this helps :0)

Hi Isabelle

I've just joined the BSS website.  Im real interested in your post here.
Id like to ask 2 questions if I may

1.  Have you any tips on how to achieve the black eyeliner cats eyes look.  You know the flick that goes out at the side.  I always end up with a dodgy mess!

2.  Im currently pregnant but next year when Im settled Id like to go on a Beauty Therapy Course and afterwards a year long Make-Up Artistry course.

Do you think it is possible to make a good living out of make up artistry?  Im in the Norfolk area.  Also I would have a small child so would have to either work part time in a salon or freelance

Re: Ask the Celeb Make-Up Artist!

Hi Isabelle

It's very generous of you to offer to share your expertise with us - thanks for the offer!!!!

I am getting married in a couple of months and am keen to do my own makeup.  The only problem I have is acheiving a flawless base without having to pile on the makeup!  I find my t-zone shines after an hour or so....obviously no good for the wedding day!  Any tips on how I can avoid this?  I recently invested in some laura mercier primer and foundation.  am I not using enough??  Finally, is it true that I need to wear more makeup than normal to look good in the photos? I do not normally wear a lot of eyeshadow...should I start practicing applying more?

Thanks so much again for your help!
