Yeah I do tip as a matter of course, even when I dont think they have done a good job which my partner hates! I tip them a couple of pounds and always feel guilty that it is not enough, I am such a pushover when it comes to tipping hairdressers and beauty salons.

Same here. I have heard that a good rule is to always tip 20% so I have followed that for years. My hairdresser seems to appreciate this a lot too, and it makes me wonder how many people actually do tip.
