Re: Applying Shampoo and Conditioner

OH no wonder my hair is so limp - I apply lots of shampoo and apply it to my scalp and hair and lather it it, I then apply a lot of conditioner I am terrible for applying too much and I massage it in to my roots and the ends!!! I really must change this now I have read this thread, so I need to reverse this stage and also stop applying too much conditioner and on my roots, oh my!

Re: Applying Shampoo and Conditioner

I use a coin sized amount of shampoo and lather it into my scalp, wash it out, then repeat the process again. I read somewhere that shampoo shouldn't be applied to the hair length, as when you wash it it runs downwards anyway in the shower-don't know if that's right or not!

I usually follow with a big amount of conditioner and leave it in my hair for a while before washing it out. I always finish by rinsing my hair with freezing water-the idea is to bond it all together!

My hairdresser told me that I should try applying olive oil all over the length of my hair and wrap it in a Turbie Towel for half an hour, then rinse. But I can't bring myself to do it, I'd hate it if the oil didn't rinse out!!!
