Charged for having my fringe trimmed

My hairdresser is now charging for fringe trims. This used to be free. Are other hairdressers doing this?

As far as I know, my hairdresser charges for everything they do. I think that's reasonable, they are providing you with a service.

If you were getting it for free then consider yourself lucky. Every person I know charges no matter how minor a cut or trim is. This is because they are not getting as much business.

Very nice of your hairdresser! In general the cost has really gone up at my hairdressers for pretty much everything. I can't get out of there without spending at least $45.

Well theowl, it would seem that charging for fringes is even becoming a business in itself as 'realhair' has created the Fringe Bar. The Fringe Bar offers two services: The realhair Fringe Fix is a complimentary fringe trim for existing clients, whilst the realhair Re Frame is a book-in service, where for £25.00, a fringe will be cut by one of the salon's stylists. realhair is located at 6-8 Cale Street, London SW3.
