Samples from lastestinbeauty.com
Modified By Fi on 30/04/2008 15:08:31)

A new website called www.latestinbeauty.com  has been launched in the UK that has the unique approach of registering the preferences of beauty consumers and then matching free product samples to their profile.

The website encourages women to subscribe to the service, asking them a list of questions pertaining to their appearance as well as their consumer needs and preferences in order to determine their individual beauty profile.

Once subscribed, the site allows women to browse products and read new product reviews that are written by an independent panel, the creators claim.

The site also gives subscribers access to several free samples every month, which can be mailed out to them at their home address as testers.

The creators are working with some of the world's leading cosmetic players and already has both L'Oreal and Procter & Gamble on board. Currently the sampling is only being provided for UK residents, but there is expected to be a worldwide roll out in the near future.

Feedback from any members who have registered with latestinbeauty would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Fi

Re: Samples from lastestinbeauty.com

I have just had a look at that site and it is very professional, but also very calculating.   I think the people who have set up the site have basically sold the big cosmetic companies on the idea that they can trial their products for them at a very reasonable price.   It currently costs about £9 per person plus the cost of the product to get members of the public to try a product out for you.  This website will be cheaper because they are only using sample sizes and the users themselves are paying a pound per sample towards the cost.

Its a nice business idea but I wouldn't mind betting that people who use it as consumers will find themselves being guided towards the products the big companies want to sell rather than ones that are suited towards their individual preferences.

Still, a pound isn't much money and you might get something really nice.

Re: Samples from lastestinbeauty.com

I have recently signed up to this site after being slightly sceptical at first i thought £1 is hardly a lot and you never know it maybe for real.  Well i was delihgted 2 days after registering my first 3 sample products came through the door all professionally packaged in a nice box with a welcome note saying hope i enjoy my samples.  The samples are of an extremely high quality and i have thoroughly enjoyed pampering myself!!! woo :D the only problem is you have to wait 30 days till you can next place an order so at the moment I am twiddling my thumbs and eagerly watching my calender for the days tp pass.  The best thing is that there are no long surveys to fill out and no obligation to come back the moneth after its all up to the individual.

I would recommend this site to anyone who loves trying out new products and who and has £1 to spare every 30 days.

Re: Samples from lastestinbeauty.com

This site looks great . I have registered but can't see any products I really want to try at the moment, as some of them are unavailable to trial...does anyone have any idea how often they add new products, and do you have to order products every month? thanks x

Try new Colour B4 by Scott Cornwall, from £9.99 at Boots. It removes semi-permanent and permanent dye to return locks to their natural shade. It won't work on hair that's been lighted or bleached, though.
