Kate Hudson has denied any involvement with 220 Laboratories, after the company accused her of using its top-secret volcanic ash ingredient in her own hair products range.

A spokesperson for the actress has denied that the actress has ever met or spoken with 220 Laboratories or its representatives.

According to press reports, 220 Laboratories is claiming that Kate Hudson, who launched the Wild Aid hair care line, with her hairdresser David Babaii this year, has used the volcanic ash from the South Pacific island of Vanuatu in her range, after saying she would make and market a range with them using that ingredient.

Hudson and Babaii’s hair care range, Wild Aid, is a range of sulphate-free shampoos and conditioners, some of the proceeds from which go towards a nominated conservation charity they support.
