Re: Does perfume ever go out of date?

It really depends on the perfume. Like someone said, I have perfumes from my family that are 40 years old, and still fine. Though, they're not really my style, so I don't use them. I also had a perfume that went off after half a year. I think what they use to make it and the packaging have a big part in how ling perfume lasts.

The good thing is, you really can tell. Check the color, and spray onto a sheet of paper to smell. If it seems off, throw it out. If it seems ok, try testing it on a small patch of skin to make sure it won't irritate before dousing yourself.

Re: Does perfume ever go out of date?
I have had problems with perfumes in the past. The answer was very helpful, but what I really wanted to know was , that is it also applicable for deodorants, considering the fact that they always have a automatic cover on them that is most of the times very hard to take off.

Re: Does perfume ever go out of date?

Yeah, this happens to me too- when I get a lovely perfume I want to wear it all the time so it runs out really quickly.

Did anyone get any gorgeous perfumes for christmas this year? My boyfriend bought me Ghost Cherish in a gift set with matching body lotion and it smells amazing. I really love it.

Re: Does perfume ever go out of date?

Anyone know if this is the same for perfume oil? And if it smells ok is it safe to use?

I have some BodyShop perfume oil that I've only had a couple of months but it's developed these weird black bits at the bottom of the bottle. :s
