As promised, here's my opinion on Garnier Nutritionist's Caffeine Eye Roll-on (which is the new roll-on with a massage application).
Well first bev71 and I are not the only ones who are currently using this novel beauty product - apparently, one is sold every 30 seconds!
Enriched with Caffeine, the idea behind the product is that a cooling moisturiser will instantly hydrate and refresh tired-looking eyes. "Tests conducted under dermatological control have shown that daily use [of the formula] can visibly reduce the appearance of dark circles and bags beneath the eyes." The purpose of the roll-on is to massage the eye area for a bright-eyed look (hence encouraging drainage). Sold in Boots, Superdrug and other leading retailers the roll-on costs £9.99 (for 15ml).
I've been using the eye roll-on for about 3 weeks and yes, I have definitely seen a reduction in my dark circles. I am always fussy about applying creams around my eyes, as I don't like the idea of dragging the skin around this delicate part of my face. This was also a concern of mine about rolling the 'pen' under my eyes. However, I need not have worried, as the roll-on is extremely moist and therefore very gentle to apply. I found there was a slight (but not painful) tingle on application and this resulted in an immediate soothing effect on my eyes. I don't suffer from puffiness but a friend of mine who does, has also been trying the roll-on and she confirmed that she noticed an improvement in the appearance of her eyes too.
The slender applicator makes this skincare innovation ideal for carrying in a handbag when you are out and about. And best of all, you can even give your eyes a pick-me-up throughout the day as the light, cooling gel formula doesn't remove your make-up!
If you have tried the Garnier eye roll-on let BSS know how you got on too.
