eyesential

Hi everyone

Has anyone tried eyesential.....i've been thinking about buying it was a very long time, but the price is putting me off, cant even get it cheap on ebay.

My other concern is what happens when you smile?  Do you laughter lines stay smoothed out like botox?  I've tried similar products and when you smile your lines look worse than without the product.

Looking forward to hearing your experiences.

Many thanks

Marie

Re: eyesential

Marie,

I have just been googling this.  I can't find any information about what it is supposed to contain.  I would be very surprised indeed if it justies the rather hefty price tag.  The reports from people who use it are that it is a short term fix.   I am guessing it is simply a filler.  If anyone can find an ingredient listing I would be very interetested to read it.

BS found this on another form

Just looked up the ingredients:

Ingredients: Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Sodium Silicate, Water
Magnesium Aluminium Silicate-A clay that can't be absorbed into the skin
Sodium silicate-"provided in home first-aid kits and used in medical practice as a glue for holding human skin together at surface cuts. It has also been used as a general purpose paper cement."Wikipedia
Water

So it's basically medial glue! x
Also found this which was interesting! Antiwrinkle cosmetic composition. - Patent EP0244859
And this Skin Deep: Cosmetic Safety Database - Ingredient Report

Also this on another site

Eyesential under eye enhancer is a unique non surgical cosmetic miracle which temporarily erases puffiness, fine lines, dark circles and wrinkles in minutes, yet lasts for up to 10 hours. Applied under make up, the non penetrative light weight formula works immediately by forming an extremely fine and invisible veil under the eye leaving the skin noticeably smoother and younger looking.

Eyesential was developed for the Hollywood film industry, this secret weapon has been used by top make-up artists to the stars for over 30 years to give them an instant eye lift and is available for home use worldwide.

Eyesential does not penetrate the skin, and although you do feel a firming sensation as the lotion dries, it doesn’t actually have any physical stretching or pulling effects. The Eyesential effect is created by a clever mix of sodium-silicate, magnesium, iron oxides and water. It works by forming an extremely fine and invisible film under the eye; viewed under a microscope you would see it looks like a very delicate spider’s web, which acts as a fine veil over the skin.

Eyesential is not a permanent solution to the signs of ageing, but it does provide a quick non-invasive, non surgical solution relatively cheaply when compared to plastic surgery. This miracle in a bottle is essential for that special occasion when you simply have to look your best, yet gentle enough for use everyday for the same dramatic results.

A dermatological tried and tested formula, Eyesential is designed to provide a quick and temporary fix to the area around the eye….not a permanent repair so it is actually classified as a non-colour cosmetic rather than a treatment.
