Hairy Upper Lip

I have a girlfriend who has a really hairy upper lip.  What is the best way to get rid of it?  She is in her early twenty's and has been self-conscious about it since her teenage years.

Re: Hairy Upper Lip

maybe its in her genes...is it directly on her upper lip or just right below the nose, like a moustache? anyway, let her try waxing to get rid of unwanted hair, maybe that can help. Or a laser surgery if she wants it to be removed permanently

A lot of the advice given in the 'hairy belly' thread also applies to this one - see http://www.beautyswapshop.co.uk/Forum/tabid/54/forumid/1/threadid/9791/scope/posts/Default.aspx

I personally have found a sensitive hair removal cream to be very quick and effective for my upper lip.  I have also noticed over the years that I don't have to use the cream as often - so I'm assuming there has been some kind of minimising effect too! Hopefully over time your friend should also see an improvement.

Re: Hairy Upper Lip

There are a few options: She can either wax or bleach the hairs. These work great for short term solutions. Bleaching can cause the hair to grow back thicker and darker so I would recommend waxing more. There are also permanent solutions such as laser or infra red which will be able to remove her hairs forever. She just needs to be willing to invest some money and time into it.
