Well Red Lipstick according to Ashley Pearson in today's Daily Mail you are right. She says "Most people buy scent for their ego." This was part of Ashley's excellent article 'Perfumes on trial', which exposes the industry's rip-off prices and fake fragrances that turn sour in half an hour.
It is also worth a read to see how a panel rate the UK's top 50 selling scents. Maybe you will be less insulted than I was! I really like Armani Code for Women. However, it scores only 1/5 with a comment that it "Smells like a woman who has lots of cuddly toys in her bedroom." NOT GUILTY!
